BloomStruck Hydrangea is a compact, reblooming bigleaf hydrangea known for its richly colored mophead flowers and sturdy red-purple stems. Depending on the soil’s pH, the rounded blooms may appear violet-blue, purple, deep rose, or reddish pink. Because it flowers on both old and new wood, BloomStruck can produce repeated flushes of color from summer into fall. Its manageable size makes it an excellent choice for foundation plantings, flowering borders, low hedges, woodland edges, and large containers.

Notes
BloomStruck Hydrangea blooms on both old and new wood, so heavy pruning isn’t usually necessary. In early spring, remove only dead or damaged stems once new growth begins to appear. Acidic soil generally produces violet-blue flowers, while more alkaline soil produces deep pink or rose-colored blooms. Plant it where it receives morning sunlight and protection from intense afternoon heat, especially in Southern gardens. Keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained and remove faded flowers to encourage a neat appearance and continued blooming.
