From Our Plant Farm

Why Buy From Bobby & Lynn’s Plant Farm?

We’re a small seasonal plant farm, not a warehouse. We grow plants, work with them, see how they respond to Georgia weather, and help local gardeners choose plants with their own yard in mind.

Real growing experience

Our advice comes from the plants we grow, water, prune, plant, and watch ourselves.

Help before you buy

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A few quick answers before you head our way.

When is the best time to shop for hydrangeas?
Our regular selling season generally begins in early or mid-April and runs through Memorial Day weekend. Selection changes as plants grow and sell, so contact us if you’re looking for a particular variety.
Do you always have every hydrangea variety in stock?
No. Availability changes through the season. If there is a particular variety, color, or mature size you’re trying to find, call, text, or contact us before making a special trip.
Can you help me choose the right hydrangea?
Yes. Tell us how much sun the planting area receives, how much room you have, whether the soil drains well, and what flower color or landscape use you prefer. You don’t need to know the exact plant name before visiting.
Do I need an appointment to visit?
During our regular selling season, you can visit during our posted Thursday, Friday, and Saturday hours. Outside the regular selling season, use our Plan Your Visit page to request an appointment and wait for confirmation.
Can hydrangeas grow in Georgia clay?
Yes, when the planting site drains properly. Georgia clay can stay wet for a long time, so we pay close attention to drainage and planting depth rather than assuming the plant simply needs more water.
Which hydrangeas handle more sun?
Panicle hydrangeas generally handle stronger sun better than many bigleaf types. Even so, Georgia afternoon heat can be tough on newly planted shrubs, so moisture and the exact planting location still matter.
