Diana Rose of Sharon is an upright flowering shrub admired for its large, pure white flowers without the contrasting red center found on many other Rose of Sharon varieties. The crisp white blooms appear throughout summer and continue into fall, providing fresh color during the hottest part of the growing season. Diana has a naturally vase-shaped habit and works beautifully as a specimen shrub, flowering hedge, privacy screen, or background plant. Its flowers also attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators.

Diana Rose of Sharon blooms on new growth, so it can be pruned in late winter or early spring before new leaves appear. Plant it in full sun for the strongest flowering, although it can tolerate part sun. Once established, it handles heat, humidity, clay soil, and short periods of drought. Its large, pure white flowers remain open later in the day than those of many other Rose of Sharon varieties.
