Quick Fire Fab Hydrangea

Quick Fire Fab Hydrangea is an early-blooming panicle hydrangea known for its large, full flower clusters and strong, upright stems. The blooms begin creamy green to white before developing blush-pink, bright-pink, and watermelon-red coloring from the bottom of each cluster upward.

Because the flower clusters may be at different stages on the same shrub, Quick Fire Fab can display several colors at once. Its earlier bloom time also provides a longer season of interest than many other panicle hydrangeas, with flowers often lasting from early summer into fall.

Its sturdy stems help support the large flower heads and keep the shrub looking full and upright throughout the blooming season. Quick Fire Fab Hydrangea works well as a specimen plant, flowering hedge, privacy screen, background shrub, or bold addition to a mixed border. It can also be planted at the back of a large garden bed where its height and changing flower color create a strong focal point.

The long-lasting flowers make beautiful additions to fresh-cut arrangements and can also be dried for seasonal displays. Give each shrub enough room to reach its mature height and width without crowding nearby plants, buildings, or walkways.

Plant Quick Fire Fab Hydrangea in full sun to part sun with moist, well-drained soil. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season while the root system becomes established.

Apply two to three inches of mulch around the root zone to help conserve moisture, reduce weeds, and keep the soil cooler. Keep the mulch several inches away from the main stems.
